Connecting India & Australia

India & Australia Economic Collaboration

India and Australia share a high-growth strategic and economic partnership anchored in trust, shared democratic values, and strong market complementarities. Strong people-to-people ties, institutional collaboration, and regular leadership-level engagement between both governments continue to advance a stable, future-focused and opportunity-driven relationship. The India–Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) has accelerated bilateral trade and investment by improving market access and easing trade flows. Building on this momentum, the proposed Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) aims to further deepen economic integration and unlock long-term growth for businesses across both economies.
